A few updates......
1. If you didn't get your letter from Joe Biden on how you can help make our country safer, here's the link. http://www.whitehouse.gov/issues/preventing-gun-violence?utm_source=email193a&utm_medium=text2&utm_campaign=nowisthetime
As the banner says, NOW IS THE TIME for us to begin to push back the assault on our safety.
2. KITE NEWS
a. In the local newspaper yesterday there was a picture of a guy flying 100 kites simultaneously. The caption read "Expert on Kite Flying". Yes, I would say so.
b. We watched the movie GATTU, produced by the Children's Film Society of India. It tells the story of a boy obsessed with kite flying in general and bringing down one kite in particular. It's fun to watch the kite flying fight scenes now that we've earned our battle scars. The plot is too simplistic in its treatment of young children who aren't schooled in India, but the kite scenes are worth it, so check it out.
c. We cajoled our gatekeeper back up on the roof yesterday afternoon, and when we got there, there were 5 new kites waiting for us! We quickly dispensed with 2, but the third flew mightily, and Ram Singh took down our arch enemy, the purple kite. However, we believe the purple kite quickly regrouped and sent up a blue kite, which cut us down after some complex manuveuring by us all. Actually I paniced and kept walking backwards until I was at the edge of the roof, then our main main took over. It was an epic battle, and we will return.
